The Gunners came up against the Hornets, in a game which finished Arsenal 3-0 Watford. In a game which was open to both sides, how did the players fare?

A lot of people would have been looking at Arsenal heading into this game. They’ve suffered a hard start to the new year, and were only slim favorites in this tie. That said, they did head into the match off the back of an impressive European night with AC Milan, a game in which the visitors won 0-2.

When Arsenal met Watford earlier on in the campaign, it was a disaster for the North London side. Their defensive frailties were left hugely exposed, with Troy Deeney even questioning their backbone.

Heading into this match, Arsene Wenger said that he would answer Troy Deeney’s comments on the pitch. He did just that, with the English striker completing the narrative perfectly. The Watford man had the opportunity to pull one back from the penalty spot, but failed to do so.

That aside, how did the Arsenal men fare in this fixture which ended Arsenal 3-0 Watford?
