Harry Kane-5

It was a shock to Tottenham when Kane left the pitch after just over half an hour of play. The truth is the English striker wasn’t having a great impact on the match even before his ankle injury.

Kane was pretty isolated during most of his time on the pitch. Bournemouth pressed Tottenham at every opportunity which relegated Kane to trying to serve as a pressure outlet for his defense. The one glimpse he got at goal was when he was injured by Begovic. He was, of course, correctly ruled offside before putting that ball into the back of the net.

Hugo Lloris-8

The French captain didn’t have any shot to stop Junior Stanislas opening goal. Otherwise, he played an excellent match to keep the Cherries from adding to their initial score.

He popped up with several above average saves in the second half. Tottenham possessed the ball for long stretches, but Bournemouth were vicious on the counter attack. That forced Lloris to be at his best on multiple occasions. This was one match where Lloris’ quality really spared Tottenham from being split open for three or four goals.
