Tottenham head to Swansea very short-handed

Mauricio Pochettino understands that Tottenham fans are desperate to win a trophy. That makes today’s trip to Swansea a high-pressure affair for Spurs. Unfortunately, Pochettino will head to Wales without the services of arguably his top three players.

Harry Kane will certainly miss the FA Cup clash after sustaining a significant ankle injury against Bournemouth last weekend. He may have a lot of company. Toby Alderweireld is a major doubt to recover in time for the match and now it seems that Dele Alli is doubtful as well. That means Spurs will be missing three world-class stars as they try to progress to the competition’s semifinal round.

Don’t look for Spurs to make any excuses though. Swansea have been battling the drop for most of the year. They deserve a lot of credit for making it this far, but Tottenham are clearly the more talented side even without the aforementioned trio. Pochettino will staunch refuse to allow anyone in his squad to use injuries as an explanation for failure.

Still, it’s obvious that Pochettino will have to shuffle his lineup dramatically. Read on to discover how Spurs will adjust their lineup at Swansea.
