Fernando Llorente-5

Let’s not mince words here. There’s no reason that Llorente should play another meaningful minute of action for Tottenham unless there’s a rash of injuries. I’m not sure if he’s past his best or just a poor fit for Pochettino’s scheme, but he’s painful to watch out there.

He got a solid 20 minutes of playing time and literally did nothing for his team. In fact, his laziness cost Spurs a fourth goal. If he would have simply made a schoolboy run to the back post he would’ve been rewarded with a tap-in goal. His time at Spurs can’t end soon enough.

Dele Alli-5.5

I’m not entirely sure why Pochettino felt the need to play Dele at all. I realize there weren’t a ton of reasonable options on the bench but it struck me as an unnecessary risk. Fortunately, Dele managed to escape the cameo unscathed.

Perhaps that’s because he didn’t really try to do too much on the pitch. It was one of the more anonymous stretches of time in Dele’s career. He didn’t hurt his side, but he didn’t really impact the match either. Perhaps he’s maturing before our very eyes.
