Charting the rise of the Egyptian-King: from failing to impress at Chelsea to having the world at his feet. The Mohamed Salah story

Currently beating Harry Kane by four goals in the race to the Premier League Golden Boot is an achievement in itself. For a winger, it is astounding!

Salah switched from Italian club Roma to Liverpool during the summer. Expectations on Merseyside were not astronomical. And yet he delivered miracles. Consequently, those extremely loyal Liverpool supporters worship him.

While the Egyptian was obviously rated highly at Anfield, the staff along with players would never have expected the impact Salah would have.

In the meantime he helped ensure Egypt’s qualification for the World Cup with a last-minute penalty. He was named African Player of the Year by BBC and the Confederation of African Football.

Whereas scoring four goals against Watford in his latest Premier League match truly catapulted his status. Earning a comparison to Lionel Messi from his manager is a sincerely majestic compliment:
