Shkodran Mustafi – 8/10
It was a terrific display from Shkodran Mustafi. That said, I have given him the joint-top position in this list of Arsenal player ratings vs Stoke City.
He wasn’t afraid to dive into challenges, and he put David Ospina at ease during a number of Stoke’s breaks. He looked comfortable in the absence of his usual counterpart Laurent Koscielny, and he did a good job at comforting Calum Chambers.
Calum Chambers – 7/10
From a defensive standpoint, he was relatively quiet. Of course, this is never a bad thing. His personal highlights came from within the Stoke City box, as he could have quite easily bagged a brace or even a hat-trick. That would have been quite remarkable, but he didn’t have shooting boots on.
