Tottenham projected XI at Chelsea: Will Kane make surprise start?
Left back-Ben Davies
Danny Rose will desperately want to start this match, but Pochettino will go with Davies instead. He’s been the much more reliable option at fullback this season.

My usual criticism of Davies is his lack of willingness to get all the way forward. Against Chelsea, I don’t really want to see Davies that far up the pitch. His willingness to stay back and play committed defence should really help Tottenham balance the pitch.
Right back-Serge Aurier
Playing Aurier in what should be a very nervy match will be a real gamble by Pochettino. Ultimately, he has to go with Aurier’s athleticism against Kieran Trippier’s brain.
The key for Aurier will be making sure he doesn’t have any moments of brain-dead play against the Blues. Conte will have his squad try to bait him into a red card at every opportunity. The fewer challenges Aurier commits to on the ground the better. His ability to finish this match will be as important as how he begins it.
