Granit Xhaka – 7/10

The Swiss international played a number of positive passes, and he was allowed to roam forward a lot more often than usual. He was involved in Arsenal’s defensive mix-up which resulted in the goal, but he did well to redeem himself.

Jack Wilshere – 5/10

It simply wasn’t Wilshere’s night. He hasn’t been hitting the heights Arsenal fans are accustomed to since returning from international duty, that needs to change if he is to retain his place in the lineup. A lot of loose balls is what cost Arsenal from increasing their lead.

Aaron Ramsey – 8/10

Aaron Ramsey proved once again just how much he means to Arsenal. Everything positive seemed to stem from the Welshman picking up space, which we know is his specialty. Two great goals helped Arsenal build a strong advantage in this tie.
