Chelsea consider selling Spanish star to Real Madrid
Real Madrid is said to be interested in bringing Alvaro Morata back this summer. Chelsea is willing to take a price-cut as the player’s form has dropped drastically.
Alvaro Morata was tipped to become one of the best strikers in the English Premier League this season. The Spanish striker had a wonderful start, scoring six goals in his first six matches. But his performances have been below average since then.
The 25-year old striker has made 40 appearances for the London Blues, scoring 14 goals in all competitions. Alvaro Morata was on a three-month goal drought until he scored against Tottenham last weekend. He lost his spot in the Spain squad for the recent friendlies. And is likely to miss out on a spot in Russia if his form continues.
Morata was the latest Chelsea player to fall under Conte’s anger. According to The Sun, the Blues gaffer expects more goals from his record signing and believes that the striker isn’t focused on football.

Chelsea is out of the Champions League spot at the moment, eight points behind fourth-place Tottenham. Alvaro Morata could turn the Blues fortune if he can fire his side to Europe’s top competition by the end of this season.
But the Chelsea board are already considering the possibility of selling the player this summer. Daily Star reported that Real Madrid is ready to bring back the striker once again.
Alvaro Morata is likely to cost £55 million for Los Blancos. Roman Abramovich is ready to take £10 million loss on the player this summer as he looks for other options.
Real Madrid has shown keen intent to bring in a striker who is able to score plenty of goals, something which Karim Benzema has not been able to do. Although the Frenchman’s input within games is overlooked, there is no excusing his poor goal record for one of Europe’s super clubs.
While Alvaro Morata isn’t in the same caliber as Harry Kane, he has shown Real Madrid how good he can be. It’s looking increasingly likely that Harry Kane will remain at Tottenham, so you can’t blame Los Blancos for looking at other options.

But Morata isn’t the only departure expected from Stamford Bridge this summer. Antonio Conte is likely to vacate his spot at Chelsea at the end of this season. The former Italy coach could turn up for Paris Saint Germain at the start of next season.
