Erik Lamela-7

The Argentine was Tottenham’s first substitute of the match and he helped pick up the tempo as soon as he stepped onto the pitch. He may not have gotten involved in a goal, but he created an abundance of half chances for Spurs.

There’s a reason Pochettino elects to play him ahead of Son against certain opponents. His ability to win the ball and quickly transition it into dangerous possession is a real asset for Spurs. Lamela acquitted himself well today.

Eric Dier-4

It was an absolute nightmare for the English international. HIs first meaningful action on the pitch was to give the ball away to Stoke for a golden scoring chance. Dier was lucky that his poor play didn’t cost Spurs two points.

The Frenchman was a late substitute who was put in largely to eat up some time. He wasn’t able to do anything to distinguish himself in his brief cameo.
