Inzaghi has created an entertaining style which is producing results. Lazio are playing some of their best football for a long time and have an exciting future ahead of them. He deserves a lot of credit for his work, which doesn’t seem to have been noticed outside of Italy.
The big question is whether he can keep it up in the long-term. It’s highly likely that they will lose Milinkovic-Savic for a large fee in the summer and potentially others as well. They are also probably going to have to beat Atletico Madrid if they want to win the Europa League. That will be a tough task because they are one of the top teams in Europe; this showed in how they have been able to swat away opposition in the Europa League so far.
The hunt for a top four finish is likely to go down to the wire as well because Lazio play Inter on the last matchday. Therefore, it’s been an exciting season so far, but it is far from finished. They could potentially have a great season. However, a slump at the end could just as easily undo all their hard work.
