Arsenal suffered a 2-1 loss at the hands of Newcastle United at St James’s Park.

Coming into this game, Arsenal were clear favorites. They have been in good form lately, despite only scraping results recently. It had to come to an end sooner or later, and with that said, here are my Arsenal player ratings vs Newcastle United.

The Gunners started the game well, in a fashion which all fans were looking for. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette linked up well to score the first goal of the match, but it wasn’t quite the tone of the remainder.

There were further frailties in Arsenal’s defense as they gave away a goal just moments later, before Matt Ritchie scored the winning goal in the second half.

It’s by no means a disaster for Arsenal, as they have set their priorities straight with the Europa League campaign. However, they would have rather won than lost this game, as nobody knows the impact it will have on their confidence.

It was a frustrating afternoon for the Gunners, but here are my Arsenal player ratings vs Newcastle United.
