Mohamed Elneny – 5/10

He had an average performance, but when you’re outclassed by Jonjo Shelvey, there are serious questions to be asked. He didn’t live up to his performance against CSKA Moscow, but I don’t think many expected him to.

Granit Xhaka – 6/10

He was one of the promising signs for Arsenal. There were a number of times in which he opened the solid Newcastle defense, with his trademark ball over the top. Of course, he won’t get recognized for this, and you’ll soon see critics pinning the loss solely on Granit Xhaka.
