Alex Iwobi – 6/10

Much better from Alex Iwobi today. He wasn’t as composed in front of goal as Arsene Wenger would have liked, but he showed many promising touches. It wasn’t enough to get Arsenal over the line, though.

Joe Willock – 5/10

I can’t hammer into Joe Willock. After all, it was his debut. His inexperience prevailed today, but I hope he gets more chances to prove his worth, because he is a talented youngster.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang – 6/10

The Gabonese striker put in an excellent cross to Alexandre Lacazette to open the scoring. Unfortunately, he was a little too unselfish today, but it’s good to see he is becoming a team player.

Alexandre Lacazette – 7/10

Alexandre Lacazette tops my Arsenal player ratings vs Newcastle. Of course, this isn’t the hardest thing to achieve, as everybody was dreadful today.

It was a hard shot for him to convert, but he blasted the ball into the net. Other than that, he did an excellent job at linking up play, he will feel hard done by.
