Harry Kane-8

This wasn’t exactly vintage Harry Kane, but it was a massive improvement for the England striker. He started to show real signs of moving comfortably again. That gave Watford’s defence too much to deal with in this match.

Ironically, he set up his only goal of the match by falling down and standing still. Sometimes standing still is the hardest thing to do for a striker though. Credit Kane for having the composure to stay patient and bury what turned out to be an easy scoring chance.

Hugo Lloris-8

Lloris’ performance against Watford only strengthened the case that he should have been in the lineup for the FA Cup semi final. He used his quick reflexes to get out of the box to snuff out attacks on several occasions.

More importantly, he showed really solid positioning in goal to parry away several close-range Watford efforts. Add up a few quality saves and one last-ditch tackle and it equals a pretty good performance for the French captain.
