Dele Alli-7.5

Fortunately for Dele, nothing about his goal scoring celebration factored into this player rating. The less said about that odd dance, the better.

In terms of his actual play, it was a pretty good evening for the England midfielder. He buried the one scoring chance that came his way, but he was pretty active all match long. When Dele’s at his best, his work rate stands out. It did so for him in this match.

Christian Eriksen-7

Eriksen got his assist on Dele’s fortunate goal, but other than that he was just average in this match. That is, for his incredibly high standards.

There just didn’t seem to be enough room on the pitch for him at times. He made some excellent passes, but he didn’t have enough of the ball to really excel. He was good in this one, just not great.

Heung-Min Son-6

This match profiled as one where Heung-Min Son could really express himself. Unfortunately, the Korean didn’t have much impact at all.

Son should have been the player making runs out wide to stretch the Watford defence. Instead, he hung around inside far too often. Frequently Son looked like he was in the way of the attack rather than contributing to it. It wasn’t a banner day for the talented goal scorer.
