Victor Wanyama-7

It hasn’t been the best season for Tottenham’s Kenyan destroyer, but he was really impactful off the bench in this match. He stopped several Watford attacks with clever interceptions.

More surprisingly, Wanyama looked really lively with the ball in the second half. Part of that was due to Watford’s lack of interest in defending him, but it was still an encouraging development. Look for Wanyama to play a large factor in Tottenham’s defensive midfield rotation moving forward.

Moussa Sissoko-6.5

Sissoko had a brilliant chance to score late in this match that he predictably skied over the bar. It was really the perfect microcosm of the Frenchman’s time for Spurs. He made a terrific run into the box, but he lacked the skill and/or composure to make it count. Don’t be surprised if he’s sold this summer.

Erik Lamela-7

If you ever find yourself wondering why Lamela plays over Son, his cameo against Watford is solid evidence. He wasn’t on the pitch for a long time, but he really showed up. The Argentine made several strong runs with the ball and generally worked to make things happen. It’s no wonder Pochettino fancies him in big matches.
