David Ospina – 6/10

He shouldn’t have dived as early as he did for Diego Costa’s goal. However, in fairness, he did also come up with a good save to deny Fernando Torres late on and somewhat keep Arsenal in the tie. It shows how much Arsenal need a new goalkeeper, and urgently. When you consider how well Jan Oblak played throughout the tie, it’s not a good showing for Arsenal.

Hector Bellerin – 5.5/10

Hector Bellerin was largely at fault for Costa’s goal. A lack of concentration saw the striker have clean run at goal, which should never happen when you’re up against a defender of Bellerin’s speed.

Nacho Monreal – 5/10

Quite simply, woeful. The Spaniard had a number of opportunities to play a clear cross to goal, but he seemed intent on giving Atletico throw ins instead. He has been one of Arsenal’s best players this season, so it’s a real shame to see he let down in the biggest game of the season.
