Casemiro (6/10)

He had the tough task of dealing with Lionel Messi, but largely did well, except for when the Argentinian skipped past him to score. Regularly broke up and slowed down Barcelona’s attacks. Casemiro’s performance will be a welcome sign for coach Zinedine Zidane ahead of the Champions League final against Liverpool.

Luka Modric (6/10)

Another composed display by the hard-working Luka Modric. The ever dependable Croatian looked classy as ever, as he helped Madrid dominate for large parts of the game.

It wasn’t his best performance, but Modric was reliable and did his job well.

Toni Kroos (6/10)

Played an important role in the build up to Real Madrid’s first equaliser. It was his deep cross that was headed by Benzema into the path of Cristiano Ronaldo.

While Kroos was unable to exert his dominance over the game, it was a disciplined and controlled performance by the German international.
