Gareth Bale (6/10)
The Welshman once again showed his ability to have an impact on games with a fine curling effort from outside the box to make it 2-2 for Real Madrid. It was a superb strike from Bale and will give him newfound confidence, after what has been a difficult season for him personally.
However, other than that, Bale was anonymous for large parts of the game. Bale did little going forward and also had some trouble against Jordi Alba defensively.
Karim Benzema (6/10)
Benzema’s link up play is one of his biggest assets, and he showed his quality once again in the El Clasico. The Frenchman regularly dropped deep to collect the ball, allowing Ronaldo to get behind the defense and do his thing.
His headed knock down helped Cristiano Ronaldo score Real Madrid’s first goal.
Cristiano Ronaldo (7/10)
Ronaldo looked threatening at times and caused Barcelona’s defenders quite a few problems in the first half. His goal helped Madrid level the scores, but he missed a few good chances after that.
Sadly, while scoring Ronaldo twisted his knee and failed to come back out for the second half. Real Madrid fans will be worried about his fitness with just three weeks to go till the Champions League final.
