3. Davinson Sanchez-99% chance to return

As we mentioned in the open, the young Colombian has been a revelation for Tottenham this season. The club had high expectations after making him the most expensive purchase in the club’s history. Even so, the former Ajax star has exceeded even the most optimistic projections for his first season with Spurs.

Unless another club blows Tottenham away with a silly financial offer he’ll be back in the fold next season. It’s important to remember he’s still just 21-years-old. A lot of central defenders really don’t find their feet until their late 20s. It’s quite possible Sanchez is just scratching the surface of his immense ability.

One place he really needs to improve is in his reading of the game. His athleticism allows him to make up for mental errors, but he still can reduce the stress on his athletic gifts. If that happens he’ll really become one of the top defenders in England.

The bottom line is that Pochettino loves Sanchez and he’s an integral part of the club’s future. Unless another club lodges a bid of £80 million or more, he’ll stay at Tottenham for the foreseeable future.
