After falling just short of the Scudetto, Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri could be on his way out of the club
Napoli have had an incredibly emotional year under Maurizio Sarri. After crashing out of both the Champions League and Europa League due to their obvious attempt at focusing on the Scudetto, Napoli lost to Fiorentina, ultimately handing the title to Juventus. Now, after a fruitless season, Sarri could be on his way out.
There have been reports that Sarri had a falling out with the Napoli owner, as the two disagreed with the style of coaching and lack of rotation within the team. Sarri only used the 433 formation across all competitions when setting up the Napoli side, limiting the player selection. He often set up with the same players in the exact same positions match after match, relying on speedy counter attacks and devastating wing play to create chances.

Now, with Sarri reportedly being on his way out, the main candidate to sign him are Chelsea. After a disappointing year, Chelsea have decided to part ways with their manager as well, with Antonio Conte leaving the club at season’s end.
If Chelsea are able to lock down Sarri early in the summer, he could really transform Chelsea back into a serious title contender. Bringing him to the club would be another massive overhaul of the team’s formation and play style, but it would be one that would better suit the players overall. Assuming Sarri keeps the 433, a front three of Hazard, Pedro, and Willian would do serious damage against most opposition.
Sarri would also have a wealth of midfielders to choose from, as N’Golo Kante, Bakayoko, and Cesc Fabregas would make up one menacing midfield. With multiple high quality defenders on the roster as well, a high-profile right back would be all the club would need to perfectly suit Sarri joining the club.

Joining the Blues in London would be a great fit for both Sarri and Chelsea overall. The two parties are missing something that the other can fill, so the partnership seems almost too perfect. The Premier League is always an exciting league to watch, and with Sarri at the helm in London, it would only increase in intensity.
