Maybe more sad, than bad but departures of Giroud, Ox, Sanchez, Walcott rocked the Gunners camp

Arsenal said goodbye to a number of first team players

Fans get attached to players so it’s often hard to see them leave your club. Arsenal saw a number of familiar faces leave this season.

Those that went by choice are Sanchez and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. Others such as Theo Walcott, Olivier Giroud and Kieran Gibbs were deemed surplus to requirements.

Change is one of the only constants in sports. However, it was odd to see so many former first team Arsenal players featuring for the competition over the course of one campaign.

The sight of Olivier Giroud celebrating a goal in Chelsea blue is hard to wrap your head around, but it simply needed to happen.

Even worse is seeing a malcontent such as Sanchez celebrating with Paul Pogba and talking about winning trophies with Manchester United.

Of course, there were new arrivals to Arsenal, but seeing popular players continue elsewhere is strange.
