Arsenal had major troubles away from the Emirates

Arsene Wenger ended the season with a 0-1 victory at Huddersfield. In doing so, the club put an end to an embarrassing streak. It was the Gunners’ first away victory and points picked up on the road in the entire 2018 calendar year. Let that one sink in. Then take a look at these scorelines away from the Emirates.

  • August 19th Stoke 1 Arsenal 0
  • August 27th Liverpool 4 Arsenal 0
  • October 14th Watford 2 Arsenal 1
  • November 5th Man City 3 Arsenal 1
  • January 14th Bournemouth 2 Arsenal 1
  • January 30th Swansea 3 Arsenal 1
  • February 10th Tottenham 1 Arsenal 0
  • March 4th Brighton 2 Arsenal 1
  • April 15th Newcastle 2 Arsenal 1
  • April 29th Manchester United 2 Arsenal 1
  • May 9th Leicester 3 Arsenal 1

Add in home losses to Manchester United 1-3 in December (Arsenal dominated on paper and lost on the pitch) and Manchester City in March and it was the most losses by an Arsenal team since 1994-1995.
