Cazorla still fighting to play again, Koscielny out for six months

Arsenal suffered two losses during the club’s second leg of the Europa League semifinal at Atletico Madrid. They lost the match and the tie but they also saw central defender Laurent Koscielny go down writhing in pain. The Frenchman suffered an Achilles injury that required surgery. He will miss the World Cup and is expected out for at least six months.

Meanwhile Santi Cazorla continues to work on making a comeback from his own Achilles injury. He has already been out of action for 18 months. Yet the Spaniard has not given up on returning to first team action. Sadly the Spaniard’s current contract ends this summer. Coinciding with the departure of Wenger it’s unlikely that Cazorla will again feature for Arsenal.

Both players are facing their devastating injuries with positive outlooks. Let’s hope they both can come back and play again.

Sum up Arsenal’s season in one word.
