Arsenal defeat Tottenham 2-0

The North London Derby is always one of the most highly anticipated matches for supporters of the two North London sides. Therefore, one of the bright spots this season came in November when Arsenal defeated Tottenham 2-0 at the Emirates.

Shkodran Mustafi gave his side the lead in the 36th minute when he headed home a free-kick. Alexis Sanchez smashed home Arsenal’s second just five minutes later. Alexandre Lacazette and Mesut Ozil played their part in setting up the Chilean.

The 2-0 half time score was maintained for the full 90 and the Gunners were victorious. The Arsenal defense held Harry Kane at bay and Petr Cech kept a clean sheet (these would become rarer as the season progressed).

This turned out to be one of Arsenal’s better moments of the season, as they picked up a rare three points against league rivals. It was made all the more sweeter given the fact it was Tottenham.
