Maurizio Sarri involved in manager merry-go-round with former Chelsea boss
Napoli had a good campaign in the league this season but just fell short of a Serie A title. The mastermind behind their success, Maurizio Sarri, is likely to leave the club. The Naples side is set to announce their new manager this week.
Napoli has been consistent in their title challenge over the past seasons. But have failed to seal the deal in the business end of the league. Italian manager, Maurizio Sarri, has been key to their performances. Since his arrival in 2015, the Blues have finished in the Serie A Top 3.
His managerial skills have caught the eyes of Roman Abramovich. The Russian business tycoon wants to bring him to Stamford Bridge ahead of next season.
Chelsea finished in a disappointing 6th place in the Premier League, failing to qualify for the Champions League. The players aren’t happy with Antonio Conte and have openly talked about the negative atmosphere in the dressing room.
Roman Abramovich is likely to sack the manager as he looks to rebuild Chelsea before the start of next season. It was once believed the Russian rich-man was skeptical about firing Antonio Conte, but it all seemed to change, despite lifting the illustrious FA Cup.
