Virgil van Dijk – 6/10

It’s always hard to find positives for a defender when he concedes three goals, but the goals weren’t his fault. He poked the ball out of play on a number of occasions to keep Liverpool in the tie, my only criticism is that there were times when he wasn’t composed on the ball.

Dejan Lovren – 6/10

He won the header which set up Sadio Mane nicely, and like his defensive partner, he didn’t play too badly. The two of them will feel hard-done-by to lose in such a manner.
