Real Madrid clinched the famous Champions League trophy for a third successive season.

A combination of terrible goalkeeping from Loris Karius, a piece of history-making magic from Gareth Bale and respectable European acumen guided Los Blancos to the crown.

Mohamed Salah’s 30th-minute injury, set to rule him out of the World Cup, blemished Liverpool’s chances and they never looked the same.

Without the Egyptian, who deserved to lift the trophy more than anyone, the Reds lost their identity and though Sadio Mane’s leveller provided hope, Real Madrid cruised ahead from there.

It was a night to forget for Karius and Liverpool whose tears flowed at full time. I focus on Real Madrid here, though, and how they conjured up Champions League success yet again.

It is the third consecutive European honor for Los Blancos, only emphasizing the pedestal Zinedine Zidane’s men stand on above the rest of the continent.

How did each individual perform on the night for Real Madrid?
