Keylor Navas: 7.5/10

Everything the Costa Rican did, he did effectively. Came out to punch a number of crosses, commanding from the back and assured when used as an out option.

Often under pressure from tireless Sadio Mane but never fluffed his lines (unlike Karius at the opposite end). He had few saves to make, however might have rushed from his goal quicker when Mane scored Liverpool’s only goal.

Marcelo: 8/10

Expected to sit back and frustrate Salah, though his attacking endeavor was seen from the very beginning even before the Egyptian was brought off. He assisted Gareth Bale with a mediocre cross, you all know what happened next…

Played as a makeshift winger at times, and it was effective as Real Madrid always had another option when going forward. Superb performance from the full back.

Dani Carvajal: 5/10

Perhaps an unfair rating for a man who was hauled off in the first half, but early signs showed Sadio Mane had the upper hand down the left flank.

Sometimes lacked the pace when chasing the Senegal international, and the one time he bombed forward resulted in his game-ending injury. Score would have been higher if he had remained on the pitch.
