Nacer Chadli: 6/10

Didn’t really get the chance to prove himself properly. Couple of darting runs but nothing to shout about.

Adnan Januzaj: 6.5/10

One of the supposed victims of ‘Mattress Gate’ (his name wasn’t on one of the duvets, therefore suggesting he isn’t in the squad). Looked positive here, though, and got a couple of shots away. Wayward strikes, but intent was certainly there.

Marouane Fellaini: 6/10

Nipped in with some crucial tackles in his 45 minutes on the pitch. Will find it challenging to get into a talent-filled Belgium side but can do a job if they need to cling onto at any point in the tournament.

Christian Benteke: 5.5/10

All too reminiscent of his Crystal Palace performances this season. Very disappointing from Benteke, who once again looked a mere shadow while he was on. Losing his striker instinct.

Dedryck Boyata: 6/10

Another of Belgium’s substitutes. Replacing Vincent Kompany might have given doubts over whether the defence would remain as strong, however concentrated on the task and restricted Portugal.

Thorgan Hazard: Came on too late to rate

Came on for his brother ten minutes before the end. Had no chance to make an impact.
