Lionel Messi has never lifted an international trophy, and this year will be his last opportunity. I believe he doesn’t need to lift the trophy to keep his legacy, but it would still be amazing for him to lift it.

He has been quite unlucky. The players around haven’t wanted it as much as he has at times, but that should be no excuse. A player of Messi’s ability is able to lift any team to stardom.
Difficult to defend against, and easy to play with, the Argentine is a pleasure to watch. His unmatched style of play has served him well throughout his career, but now we will see if he can do it on the biggest stage.
Argentina reached the final of the last World Cup, but it wasn’t to be. They will hope to endure similar success, but this time go the next step and lift the trophy.
Without Mauro Icardi, the attacking force is a little less potent than it could have been. But as they say, where there’s a Leo, there’s a way.
