9. Eden Hazard

Known for being the one man rock band with Chelsea, he may have a similar task with Belgium. He will work with a more capable strike force of Romelu Lukaku and Dries Mertens, but he is still the beating heart in this Belgium side.

Both his flair and creative prowess are delightful to watch. During his time in London, he has glided past opposing full backs as if they aren’t even there.

He joins England, Tunisia and Panama to make up group G. Belgium are expected to join England in making it out of the group effortlessly, and if Belgium achieve this feat, one would assume Hazard has a part to play.

He scores in many big games for Chelsea, but he is yet to prove himself on the world stage. His unselfish style of play has perhaps deterred people from him, but it shouldn’t go overlooked.

There has never been a better time for Belgium to challenge in the World Cup, with all the players gaining dire experience in club football. Eden Hazard must do what he always does in getting the best out his teammates.

Of course, he won’t always be a team-player. He has the capability of scoring solo goals, which we should expect to see in this competition.
