Signing for Juventus
Buffon is one of the most iconic soccer players of this current generation. All soccer fans can appreciate the dedication he has demonstrated during whether he plays for club or country.
The goalkeeper who’s chosen to replace him needs to have talent and personality in equal measure to fill Buffon’s gloves.
When Juventus showed interest in Szczesny in the summer of 2017, many Arsenal supporters raised their eyebrows and questioned whether Arsenal should be committing its future to Szczesny.
That summer, Szczesny left Arsenal permanently for £10.98M according to TransferMarkt.
He spent this past season playing few matches in cup competitions and in the Serie A when Buffon was unavailable, but with the knowledge, he would be Juventus’ No.1 next season.
His place is not without dispute as Juventus have recently signed Mattia Perin from Genoa, but he is in pole position to take over for the legendary Italian.

If he can fulfill his potential that he showed since starting for Arsenal as a 20-year-old, Szczesny can be Juventus’ goalkeeper for the next decade.
