Expected greatest players in Group G

Our 5 anticipated players to shine in this Group are all from the Red Devils, Belgium, and the three Lions, England. Hazard, De Bruyne, Lukaku, Kane and Sterling.

Panama are known as the Canal Men, while Tunisia’s moniker is, The Eagles of Carthage. I can now reveal a player-to-watch from either minnows: Luis Tejada, the Panamanian. Especially relevant is the 36-year-old’s 43 goals in 103 appearances.

Finally, the Tunisian Youssef Msakni. Accoring to the Telegraph, ‘The 27-year-old forward played a crucial role in qualifying, scoring a hat-trick.’

My group top-scorer forecast is a joint title for Kane and Lukaku. If both strikers are fit and firing on all cylinders, five-a-piece is obtainable. A decent or healthy return would be three goals each, considering the opposition.

How far will Belgium and England progress?

It is conceivable for Belgium to finish third or possibly higher. Since their depth and varied star players are a rare and ‘golden generation’. Blending youth and experience marvellously.

The real test is resolve and Martinez’s tactics. Anything below the semi-finals is surely failure for the Red Devils.

England perennially underachieve but are, for once in 50 years, seemingly under no pressure. National media has not deemed them worthy of over build-up, thankfully.

Without the weight of obligation, this rapid and talented group could cause an upset. However, I am confused as to why there is no onus; this side has blossoming quality oozing from it.

In Southgate, the FA finally have the man of their dreams too. A sensible blazer wearer, who is relatable to young millionaires. Once again an obligatory appearance, at least, at quarter-finals beckons.

Probable knockout opposition

Runner-up in Group G would most likely face Colombia or Poland, because Group E is rather weak. Only those two nations are particularly noteworthy. No offence to Japan and Senegal.

As a result, winner of those match-ups goes on to play a quarter-final. There, they hastily address the formidably daunting task of Brazil and Germany.
