CM. Isco – Spain

Isco once again proved his worth on the big stage. It’s not the first time he’s had a big performance in a big game, as he’s accustomed to doing so with Real Madrid.

Isco looked to drop deep and pick up possession at most times against Portugal. He was no stranger to bombing forward with the ball at his feet though, often gliding past the opposition with effortless ease.

He made up for the tiring legs of ageing Andres Iniesta perfectly. Which is ideal for Spain, as Isco could signify a new golden era of players.

Ageing at 26 years old, he’s entering the prime stages of his career. This was seen against Portugal, as a lot of the play ran through him.

Of course, his performance was taken away by Cristiano Ronaldo, who was on the opposing side for once. He’s used to this though, but he still got worldwide recognition.
