Should Manchester United be swayed by this tempting offer for Paul Pogba?

Paul Pogba may be on his way out of Manchester United with this tempting bid.
Paul Pogba hasn’t had the best of times in the Premier League. Although he shows his quality most weeks, the English press and fans seem to be on his back a lot of the time.
I think this is unfair, but of course there are opinions that warrant the scrutiny. His hefty price, which was the world record at the time, was bound to come with heavy expectation.
Do I think he has warranted his transfer fee? No, I don’t. But I still love to watch him play, and I’m sure many Manchester United fans do too, which is why this news will come as a shock to them.
Paris Saint-Germain have stepped up their interest in Paul Pogba, by offering Marco Verratti plus cash for the Frenchman, according to The Sun.
Is the deal worth it?
Paul Pogba is obviously the better player out of the two, so it would be PSG who gain the most out of the deal.
That said, United may be tempted to part ways with their record signing. It was revealed yesterday that he had fallen out with Jose Mourinho, so who is to say a move isn’t on the cards?
Losing Pogba would have detrimental impact though, so it’s important for United to analyze what Verratti can bring to replace him…
What does Marco Verratti offer?
Actually, there is a lot of similarities between Verratti and Pogba. They are the same age, adopt similar roles, and both have a short fuse.
Verratti likes to wander forward, with his creative prowess flourishing in advanced positions. This is similar to Pogba, although the Frenchman has been slightly limited under Mourinho.
Verratti is known for having quite the short fuse. He has been on the receiving end of a few red cards in big games. He was sent off against Real Madrid and Arsenal. Pogba was also sent off against Arsenal – notice a pattern here?
All in all, the deal will come down to who wants to succeed the most. Patrice Evra recently said that to play for United, you must be willing to die for the shirt.
