Manchester United and Arsenal have had many transfer battles in the past.

Manchester United are having an okay transfer window. They signed Fred as a standout star, but if they are to keep up with Premier League competition, they need to be signing some more first team players.

Jose Mourinho knows this, and he’s never one to rest around when there is business to be done.

That said, recent reports from TUTTOmercatoWEB come as no surprise. The outlet have reported United will join the race to sign Hirving Lozano.

Strong competition in Arsenal

Of course, Hirving Lozano’s name has been thrown around the web recently as he’s been linked with a move to Arsenal. That said, who hasn’t been linked with Arsenal?

Unai Emery is looking to rebuild for next season, which is perhaps the aim Mourinho has at the back of his mind.

World Cup standout

Although Mexico were eliminated from the World Cup, many will look at Hirving Lozano as a standout player in the group stage.

He showed plenty of promise in all three of his games, but particularly against the world champions Germany.

Against Die Mannschaft, he showed great aplomb to burst into the box and coolly slot past the best in the world, Manuel Neuer.

It’s this kind of composure which is giving him a great pedigree to excel his career.

Who should he join?

It’s always going to be a difficult choice between Manchester United and Arsenal. Many would choose the former over the latter, however his mind could be swayed.

Arsenal is quite the exciting club to be at right now. They have had their fair share of spills over the last few seasons, but things look to be on the rise.

Unai Emery’s appointment, along with an influx of backroom staff and players make the club very exciting.

Emery is known for his work with young players. His stern yet mannered approach ensures youth players don’t fall into the same old traps.

Although, no matter the age, playing at the theater of dreams will always be a dream. United have perhaps the largest fan-base in the world, so having your name in the lights is dream-like.
