Unai Emery is already having a positive impact at Arsenal.

It was never going to be easy filling the boots (and coat) of Arsene Wenger. The legendary Frenchman finally bid farewell to Arsenal this summer, and in his place came Unai Emery.

Despite not managing a game yet, Emery is giving millions of Arsenal fans hope heading into the new season. It’s been a while since there was this much excitement around the club.

Arsenal have struggled to keep up with the times over the last decade, with Wenger being seen as out of touch by the masses. The arrival of Emery, who has experience with the likes of Sevilla and Paris Saint-Germain, will certainly help that.

He adds a new dynamic to Arsenal football club, filling in a number of frailties which has served them poorly in recent history.

There were a lot to choose from, but I signaled three ways Unai Emery has helped to give Arsenal the right direction for the coming season…

1. Walking in a transfer wonderland

Transfers, transfers, transfers. Yes, Arsenal fans, they do exist!

It’s been a hard time in the transfer department for the Gunners since they moved from Highbury to the Emirates Stadium. They needed to sell a number of their players to pay off the debt, but failed to make secure signings to balance this out.

However, since Unai Emery’s appointment, the transfers don’t seem to stop. Not a bad problem to have, I must admit.

Arsenal have signed Stephan Lichtsteiner, Bernd Leno and Sokratis Papastathospoulos. At the time of writing this, Lucas Torreira and Matteo Guendouzi are also undergoing their medicals.

Here’s how these players will benefit Arsenal…
