Just days after signing Cristiano Ronaldo, reports suggest that Real Madrid’s Marcelo could move to Juventus, with Ronaldo requesting the move.
Serie A champions Juventus have just recently completed the stunning swoop for Cristiano Ronaldo, but The Old Lady may already have their sights set on another Real Madrid star.
According to many reports, Brazilian left back Marcelo has become a top target for Juve, with the Italian giants looking to bring some familiarity to the squad to benefit their newly acquired superstar in Ronaldo.
Speculation has grown rampantly over the last 24 hours that Real’s starting left back would be keen on joining Cristiano in Turin.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Marcelo followed Juventus’ official Instagram account and has yet to post anything regarding Ronaldo’s move, adding fuel to the fire that a transfer could be in the works.
AS, report that those within the club have been quick to dispel any rumors, telling Italian media outlets such as Gazetta that the club are not currently targeting the full back.
Meanwhile, Gazetta dello Sport add to their report that Juventus left back Alex Sandro could soon be on his way out, making the necessary room for Marcelo’s addition.
This transfer rumor has an extra juicy bit that if remotely true, could genuinely lead to a deal between the two clubs for Marcelo.

According to Sport Mediaset, Cristiano Ronaldo himself has asked Juventus president Andrea Agnelli to go after and subsequently sign his former Real Madrid teammate.
After forming a close bond throughout their years together in Madrid, Ronaldo would like to see the Brazilian move to Turin to add to an already elite squad.
It is important to note that Marcelo signed a new contract with Los Blancos in September 2017, keeping tied to the club until 2022.
Additionally, the lack of depth at the left back on the squad would most certainly make the prospect of Real selling Marcelo unlikely, though the talented Brazilian defender does have a release clause of around €180 million that Juventus could try to trigger.
