Kylian Mbappe etched his name into football history after winning the World Cup at 19 years old. Many rumors have been circulating about a move from PSG, he finally spoke out about the matter.

We’ve been able to appreciate Mbappe’s talents even before the World Cup. During a promotion to the first team at AS Monaco, the youngster experienced crucial development and gravitated towards stardom.

His abilities and talent is what garnered the attention of PSG. He eventually transferred to the French giants on loan before the 2017/2018 season with an option to buy in 2018 for 187 million euros.

Mbappe has finally canceled the rumors of a potential move this summer. The main suitors being Real Madrid. Especially after Ronaldo’s move to Juventus, the club is looking to spend big cash to bring in replacements.

Though, after the final the Frenchman made statements confirming his stay at PSG.

"“I will stay with PSG, continuing on my path with them.”“I will stay with PSG, continuing on my path with them.”"

"“I am at the beginning of my career.”"

His statements are very wise for someone of his age. There is a time and place for everything. He wants to be continuous with PSG and improve his game further. Switching clubs two times in two years has the potential to ruin progress and shake his mindset off of football.

In his case, he is staying grounded and focusing on playing the game he loves. During the World Cup he scored 4 times in his 7 appearances. One his goals being very crucial in France’s 4-2 win against Croatia in the final.

In fact his goal in the final made him only the second teenager ever to score in a World Cup final. The only other player being Pele scored in a 5-2 win against Sweden way back in 1958. Pele happily appreciates the competition with his records.

Comparatively, Mbappe has been immense for club as well. In his first season with PSG he netted an astonishing 21 goals in 44 appearances in all competitions. Pushing him to 52 goals in 116 appearances in his club career.

He is in an interesting place in his career. He has a high ceiling for potential, he’s already won a World Cup, and he has just about every top club monitoring his movements. The decisions he makes in the next couple years can define the rest of his career.

Furthermore, his decision to stay is very logical. He understands that if he plays his cards right he can go to Real Madrid or elsewhere at some point in his career.
