Jose Mourinho is said to be interested in signing Ivan Perisic and Ante Rebic after their impressive performances at the World Cup this summer.
Manchester United have been busy in the transfer window. The Red Devils have already secured three signing this summer – Fred, Diogo Dalot and Lee Grant. But the trio are just to provide backup options to the squad.
Mourinho has found it difficult to secure big names signings as they were away representing their nations in the World Cup. The United boss was keen to close a deal for Belgium’s Toby Alderweireld before he left for Russia. But Tottenham’s high asking price halted talks between the clubs.
With the World Cup over now, Manchester United are looking to secure signings as quickly as possible this summer. According to Daily Mail, The Red Devils are eyeing a double swoop for Croatia’s World Cup duo, Ivan Perisic and Ante Rebic. They are said to be preparing a £92 million joint bid to sign them this summer.
Perisic and Rebic put in some impressive performances in Croatia dream run in Russia. The duo fell just short of lifting the World Cup as they were beaten by Pogba’s France in the final.

Their performances seem to have caught the eyes of Jose Mourinho. The Portuguese boss had taken the extra responsibility of being a pundit with Russia Today this summer. With this extra job, he got an opportunity to scout players and the duo is on his transfer list now.
Ivan Perisic almost made the move to Manchester United last summer. But Inter somehow managed to convince him to sign a new contract with the club. Last season, he scored 11 goals in 39 appearances for the San Siro outfit. This earned him a spot in Croatia’s World Cup squad where he scored 3 goals, one of them coming in the final against France.
After spending two seasons on loan with the Bundesliga club, Ante Rebic completed a permanent move to Eintracht Frankfurt before leaving for Russia. But it seems like a move to Manchester United could be on the cards this summer. He scored a double in the DFB Pokal Final to deny Bayern Munich a league double.
Rebic played a key role in Croatia’s World Cup run where he scored a goal that proved to the opener in the 3-0 dismantling of Messi’s Argentina in the Group Stages.
