There’s plenty more fish in the sea, Blancos…

The transfer saga between Chelsea and Real Madrid over the sale of Eden Hazard has been ongoing for many months now. Will he stay, or will he go?

Right now, it would appear the Belgian is set to stay in London. Chelsea are in a very strong negotiating position, with the Belgian still having a few years to run down on his contract.

According to the Mirror, the Blues have informed Real Madrid that no matter what the club does, Eden Hazard will remain a Chelsea man.

Chelsea are correct in doing so.

As I mentioned yesterday, it’s incredible to see Chelsea standing firm. After an unfortunate season last time out, it’s what their fans would have liked to see.

They need to make progress under Maurizio Sarri, so selling their best player would come at a huge disappointment. Hazard is priceless, and Roman Abramovich certainly recognizes this.

Without Hazard, Chelsea would lack the creative flair needed to keep up with their League rivals. His flair-driven and unselfish style of play is unmatched in England, and it should be enough to see the Blues challenge Manchester City and co. for the league title.

Maurizio Sarri specifically told the club to keep hold of Hazard if he is to begin managing in England, and it’s not hard to see why.

Managing Eden Hazard is a dream come true for any manager in Europe’s elite. He has the ability to keep things ticking, and his versatility is an underrated trait.

It’s going to be an excellent season for Hazard this time around, and should he stay at Chelsea, we shouldn’t underestimate their chances.

Alternatives for Real Madrid.

Real Madrid may not even need to look at alternatives, they have a number of stars worthy of filling Cristiano Ronaldo’s boots. However, it’s always best to be safe, because who knows what Los Blancos have up their sleeves?

The likes of Hirving Lozano and Anthony Martial are out there for the taking. These two obviously don’t fit in to Eden Hazard’s caliber, but if Madrid do want to bring in some new signings, these are the two which initially spring to mind for me.

Marco Asensio, Isco and Gareth Bale are all set for positive seasons, as they look to impress their new boss Julen Lopetegui. This is particularly important for Bale, as he’s never worked with the manager before.
