Real Madrid must bring in another Galatico to replace Cristiano Ronaldo if they want to compete with Barcelona this season.

Rumors in Spain say that Real Madrid will not sign a big money replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo, and will instead give Isco the chance to lead their attack. While Isco is a fantastic player, he is no Ronaldo.

With the exit of the five time Ballon d’Or winner, the Los Blancos have lost their biggest game changer. Ronaldo is a player who thrives on the biggest occasions and often scores goals when it matters the most. And for Real Madrid to not bring another galactico to replace him would be suicidal.

Real Madrid’s spending policy has changed over the last few years, with more emphasis being put on buying younger unproven talent.

But with some of their most important players, like Sergio Ramos, Marcelo and Luka Modric nearing the twilight of their careers, the 13 time Champions League winners must bring in a player who can lead their team to success.

Even without Ronaldo, Real Madrid have one of the most strongest squads in Europe. Alongside Isco, they also have Marco Asensio, Gareth Bale and Karim Benezema to lead their attack, while new signing Vinícius Júnior is one of the most highly rated teenagers in the sport.

But last season, Real finished third, 17 points behind their arch rivals and La Liga champions Barcelona.

The Catalans have already strengthened their side with the additions of Clement Lenglet, Malcom and Arthur. Atletico Madrid have also added some quality reinforcements and could cause problems to their local rivals this season.

Champions League glory saved Real Madrid’s season last time around and they may not be as lucky this time around, with other big clubs around Europe bolstering their squads in the summer.

Real Madrid have been linked with some of the biggest names in the sport. Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Eden Hazard have all been mentioned, but at this stage the trio are proving to be too expensive for the Spanish giants.

With still over a month left in the transfer window, it will be very interesting to see how things develop for Real Madrid this summer. But the Los Blancos must bring in a world class game changer to spearhead their attack, or they risk falling further behind their arch rivals this season.

Who do you think Real Madrid should bring in this transfer window?
