Willian has revealed how happy he is at Chelsea.

It’s been a rollercoaster of emotions for Chelsea so far this transfer window. They have been at risk of losing many stars, with none of them actually leaving. Willian is one of those, alongside Belgian pairing Thibaut Courtois and Eden Hazard.

However, it’s been revealed that Willian could actually remain at Stamford Bridge, rather than join Barcelona or Manchester United, according to the Mirror.

Chelsea should have taken the money.

More from Chelsea FC

Throughout this saga, Chelsea were offered huge fees for the Brazilian, mainly from FC Barcelona. However, the Blues remained adamant on their asking price. They should have taken the money though, and invested each penny into a better alternative.

Willian is coming off the back of a poor World Cup so his confidence will inevitably be drained, and his days at Chelsea look to be over.

Unless, of course…

Maurizio Sarri may have a master plan.

Before Sarri arrived in London, he made Chelsea officials promise they will keep hold of Eden Hazard and Willian.

Hazard is understandable, but many were confused about Willian. What does Willian bring to the table, which cannot be found in younger alternatives?

Sarri probably feels like Willian will benefit his system more than any other player, which only he will know. One thing’s for sure, if the boss believes in him, then Chelsea fans should do too.

It’s what Willian needed, a manager to come in and believe in him. He hasn’t had that with Antonio Conte, so it will take him a bit of time to get used to.

As reported in the article above, Willian seems to be enjoying life at Chelsea. A change of manager and hopefully a few more signings will benefit him, and we could potentially see a new to side to Willian this season.

Do you think Chelsea should keep hold of Willian?
