According to reports, Zaha has told his teammates he doesn’t want to return to Crystal Palace this season and could hand in a transfer request in the next coming days. The 25-year old wants to make the move over to Stamford Bridge, which could be a great addition for the Blues.
Wilfried Zaha has been one of the best, if not the best player for Palace in the last few years. He was a vital part of their resurgence last year after Palace started the season with no wins or goals in their first seven fixtures.
the Ivory Coast international netted nine times and also had three assists last year, despite missing five weeks due to an injury.

Everton was linked earlier to a move for Zaha, but he is shying away from a move back to north London after a disappointing spell with Man United back in 2013-15, making just two appearances in that span with the Red Devils.
Now he has been linked to a possible move to Chelsea, which would be an outstanding move for the Blues. They are in need of an electric presence up front, and Zaha could fill this void.
What he could bring to Stamford Bridge
Zaha is one of the most exciting attackers in the Premier League when he’s in top form. The winger brings a rare combination of speed, skill, vision, and strength.
He played primarily up front for Palace in the last few years, though he does have the ability to play on the left flank as well. With a lack of consistency up front, Zaha could see a healthy amount of playing time up there if he did complete a transfer to the Blues.
Eden Hazard and Michy Batshuayi are options on the attack for Maurizio Sarri’s side up front, with Hazard proven to be a goal-scorer but not always consistent.
Batshuayi had a short but sweet spell on loan with Dortmund last year, and now he’s back in London ready to prove himself in the Premier League.
If they didn’t want to use Zaha up front, he could always play on the flank like I said earlier. He’s a great playmaker as well so putting him out there could prove to be worthy.
He is such a hard-working player too, retreating back into his own half to defend when need be. He is the type of player that could make an immediate impact for Chelsea.
Will Palace give him up?
Zaha has four years remaining on his current contract, but Crystal Palace has reportedly offered him a new deal worth 125,000 euros a week, which he rejected. Roy Hodgson has reportedly said Zaha hasn’t given him any indication in recent conversations that he wanted out of Palace.
They definitely do not want to give up the 25-year old because he is the centerpiece of this team, despite their recent signings in the last few weeks.
Palace didn’t win one game last season when Zaha wasn’t on the pitch, proving his importance to this club.
The transfer window will end on August 9th, so Palace will have until then to complete a deal for Zaha if they decide to part ways with the attacker. He has clearly voiced that he wants out, despite Roy Hodgson saying different.
It’s always hard to know what reports are true or not, but if he does make the move Chelsea, he will be an outstanding addition to the Blues.
