2. Jorginho

As if signing Sarri from Napoli was not enough, Chelsea also took one of the clubs best midfielders away from them. The signing of Jorginho was met with jubilation from Chelsea supporters and envy from the rest of the league.

In short, Jorginho is exactly what this team needed to execute Sarri’s system at the highest level. Jorginho is the prime example of a player that may not stand out, but if he was missing from the team, it would show.

His importance to the link up play and overall possession for his team make him such a vital piece to the puzzle. Jorginho always seems to be open to receiving a pass, making space for both his defenders and attackers alike.

He seems to teleport around the field in a way that makes him frustrating to mark. Just seconds after getting the ball in his own defensive third, he will be found half way across the field looking to pick a pass for his forwards.

This style of play will be perfect for the midfield of Chelsea and he combines the offensive abilities of Fabregas with the defensive mindset of Kante. Since Sarri is so familiar with his play style, fitting him into the team will be second nature.

Jorginho is used to covering for a more attacking midfielder during his time playing with Hamsik. Fabregas can be the same way, pushing up the field to influence the Chelsea front three.

If Jorginho and Kante can gel in the midfield, there is no question that they will be one of the most fierce duos in the Premier League. Sarri has a few other options off the bench to spice up the midfield as well, so he will never be short of ideas.
