By Aaron Price
What can we expect from Liverpool this season?
This Liverpool side is filled with top class players and will surely challenge Manchester City for the throne.
They will need to avoid the same old narrative, but the work from the manager and board behind the scenes has got Liverpool fans excited. Now, let’s take a look at how it may play out.

Liverpool’s campaign offers a lot of promise for goal scoring but it has to be Mohamed Salah right? Coming off a superb campaign last season where he tallied 32 goals he seems like the obvious choice here.
It’s hard to believe he’ll have that same level of magic this season but with key additions in the midfield he’ll have even more opportunities than last year.
Honorable mention is Roberto Firminho. If it’s not Salah it has to be Firminho. He’s a top level striker, one of the best in the Premier League, and with the midfield additions he will also be supplied with loads of scoring opportunities.
Key player
I’ve mentioned the new midfield additions a few times so far so this should come as no surprise.
Naby Keita will be the biggest factor in Liverpool’s success this season.
Filling in the number 8 at Liverpool is no small task but this youngster is up for the challenge.
His touch and dribbling are so smooth it’s almost unrealistic. Add in his size and pace and there are no limits to his output. He’ll create chances for others and finish for himself.
It may seem hard to believe but Liverpool fans will have a hard time remembering Coutinho and Emre Can after this kids season.
Biggest weakness
Liverpool were a top club last season and only improved with their summer transfer window so it’s hard to find any huge weakness.
But no team is without any weakness and Liverpool’s has to be a lack of depth for the middle of the back four.
The depth isn’t horrible but an injury to either Van Dijk or Dejan Lovren and you’re looking at a pretty average Center back partnership.
Even if something happens to the back line Liverpool need not worry with Alisson Becker in goal. So even Liverpool’s biggest “weakness” has a top level backup.
