There’s a way Zlatan Ibrahimovic could help the USMNT, and it’s hilarious
By Kian Long
Zlatan Ibrahimovic is a man of many ideas, but his latest will have the USMNT in stitches.
Moving from the world’s biggest club in Manchester United, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has brought a worldwide fan-base with him to Major League Soccer and the Los Angeles Galaxy. His unique character is hard to miss, so many have followed him on his worldwide career journey.
There was much anticipation when he moved to Los Angeles, and rightly so. The soccer franchise has housed many legendary names, including David Beckham, Ashley Cole and Steven Gerrard, but never has one brought so much excitement.
What is Zlatan’s master plan for the national team?

I don’t think there’s any denying that the USMNT could do with some help, in order to keep up with the rampant USWNT. Zlatan, unfortunately, qualifies for neither of these. Or should I say, they don’t qualify for Zlatan…
But never fear, because the self-proclaimed lion has an idea. The Swede claimed that if he wasn’t married, he would be ‘spreading his seed’ to help with team USA. Dan Patrick was quick to remind him of his claim…
In response, Zlatan said that his wife was the only one to ‘get his investment’. We shouldn’t have expected anything different from him…
His wife’s reaction was quite hilarious too. According to the Swede himself, his wife wasn’t too keen on his polygamous idea, as she replied with ‘Do you think you’re funny or what?’

Zlatan is exactly what Major League Soccer needed.
Major League Soccer takes quite a different approach to that of many European leagues. Although there is plenty of talent on display in American soccer, the culture of the game is what attracts fans the most.
As a fan of the Premier League, this is something which feels different to me, but it still does feel great to participate in. Fans from the USA are just as passionate as European fans, but they show it in more family-friendly ways.
Although I still do prefer watching European leagues, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has definitely convinced me to watch the American league a lot more than I already did. It’s not difficult to see why there is a huge subculture surrounding MLS.
What do you make of Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s idea?
