2. Lautaro Martinez- Inter Milan

Inter Milan had a wildly successful transfer window this summer. Most of the moves they made were supposed to make an immediate impact on the team, but the most important move may have been for the future. 20 year old forward Lautaro Martinez has massive potential and could be a big part of Inter’s future.

While he has never played in a top-flight league, he has shown off quite a bit of talent in his career. He has pace, vision, and good passing ability. Most importantly, he can finish. He made that abundantly clear with his ridiculous volley against Atletico Madrid in the International Champions Cup. This is also something he has demonstrated time and again in the Argentine Primera Division last season, scoring 13 goals in 21 games. He also added 4 assists to that tally to show he contributes more than just the goals he scores.

He’ll be taking on much stiffer competition this year, but he will be doing so with a great roster around him. He could play in a partnership with Mauro Icardi or fill in for him on the occasions Icardi needs a rest. With a plethora of creative options on the wing and midfield he will constantly be given chances to shine when he gets on the field. His time will be limited because of Inter’s attacking talent, but it’s not out of the realm of possibility for him to make 15 appearances in Serie A and Coppa Italia this season. I expect he’ll make every opportunity count and give himself a great introduction to his new league.
